‘Under The Strap’ Podcast: A chat with Duane Bock

In this week’s ‘Under the Strap,’ podcast, our host John Rathouz was joined by Duane Bock. Bock is the longtime caddie of Kevin Kisner and this week is a big one for them, as the PGA Tour visits Austin Country Club for the WGC-Dell Technologies Match Play.

Kisner and Bock won this event in 2019, were runners up in 2018 and Kisner has a 16-6-2 overall record in Match Play (between the WGC and Presidents Cup). You could also call Bock something of a match play extraordinaire. As a player, he won the prestigious North-South Amateur title at Pinehurst in 1992 to join a list of champions that includes the likes of Jack Nicklaus, Curtis Strange, Hal Sutton, Corey Pavin and Davis Love III.

Bock also joked about how he doesn’t enjoy playing golf with Kisner because of his knack for shit-talking… And that’s not all about Kisner, as Bock told a classic tale of Kisner sleepwalking one time while the two roomed together at a tournament.

All that and a whole lot more from the man with the best calves on the PGA Tour!
