Week 7: NFL picks with caddie Joe Skovron
Can you believe we’ve nearly hit the halfway point of the NFL season?
This is the time of year where the best of the best are truly hitting their stride.
Joe Skovron, Rickie Fowler’s caddie, has been paying close attention to what’s going on.

Here, he offers up his picks and the reasons why for five, key match ups this weekend…
Carolina at Philadelphia
Spread: Philadelphia -4.5
Skovron’s Pick: Carolina
Why: Philly is 1-4 against the spread. I think this game stays close.
New England at Chicago
Spread: New England -3.5
Skovron’s Pick: Chicago
Why: The public is all over the Patriots at this point as they always are. This Bears defense is legit. Hopefully Nagy and Trubisky can find those holes in the Pats defense like Reid and Mahomes did last week.
New Orleans at Baltimore
Spread: Baltimore -2.5
Skovron’s Pick: Baltimore
Why: Saints have been rolling and I love Drew Brees, but I think the No. 1 defense gets it done at home.
Dallas at Washington
Spread: Washington -1.5
Skovron’s Pick: Washington
Why: Cowboys have owned the Redskins the last five years and Dak has never lost to them. Dallas is 0-3 on the road this year. I think Alex Smith changes the trend and the Redskins get it done at home.
Cincinnati at Kansas City
Spread: Kansas City -6
Skovron’s Pick: Cincy
Why: I said last week that I was riding KC until they didn’t cover a spread, but I’m jumping off the train one week early. Public is all over KC and the money hasn’t moved. I’m taking Cincy and crossing my fingers.
