Welcome to the second installment of our 2022 “Caddie Confidential” series, with monthly, inside-the-ropes perspective from dozens of Tour caddies on rotating golf topics. In this edition, caddies share the one thing they look the most forward to during the West Coast Swing.
After leaving Hawaii to start the year and heading back to the mainland, the PGA Tour’s West Coast Swing — a five-tournament stretch beginning with The American Express and ending with the Genesis Invitational at Riviera — is contested.
In this edition of our Caddie Confidential, we polled nearly three dozen caddies to fill in the blank: The one thing I most look forward to during the West Coast Swing is __________.

“This swing is my favorite set of courses we play all year long,” one caddie said.
“Leaving for the Florida swing,” said another, who clearly isn’t a fan of golf on the left coast!

Enjoying the great weather during winter, mostly in Hawaii.
Great golf courses pretty much on the entire swing.
The Phoenix Open and Pebble Beach.
Being able to drive to events.
Sunny Honolulu.
Staying in Cardiff-by-the-Sea for Torrey Pines. Gem of a little beach town.
Sleeping in my own bed.
Palm Springs.
Leaving. Lol.
Going home.
Some of the best beer is in California.
Being able to spend Sunday and Monday nights at home. And I love the courses.
For it to be over.
