Here we are — Week 2 of college football season.

Feels good, doesn’t it?

Before the big games kick off on Saturday, we had three caddies — Paul Tesori, Ryan Rue and Matt Minister — weigh in with their respective picks for five key match ups.

Here’s a look at the teams Tesori and Rue like, as well as an explanation as to why…

TCU (16) at SMU
Point spread: TCU -23

Ryan Rue’s Pick: SMU
Why?: Home game for both of these teams. The Horned Frogs put up 55 last week against Southern. I would like to think SMU is a little better. Twenty-three points is an awful lot.

Paul Tesori’s Pick: TCU
Why?:  Too much firepower!

Matt Minister’s Pick: TCU
Why?: TCU will overpower SMU on offense and cover.

Georgia (3) at South Carolina
Point spread: Georgia -9.5

Ryan Rue’s Pick: DAWGS
Why?:  I think The Gamecocks will keep it close but the Bulldogs will just tire them out come fourth quarter.

Paul Tesori’s Pick: Georgia
Why?: The Dawgs are ready to return to the national championship game!

Matt Minister’s Pick: South Carolina
Why?: South Carolina will cover in a close game. I like the offense on both sides of the ball.

Penn State (10) at Pittsburgh
Point spread: Penn State -8.5

Ryan Rue’s Pick: PITT
Why?: Pitt’s playing at home against a defense that gave up 38 points last week.

Paul Tesori’s Pick: Penn State
Why?: Penn State will be ready after barely avoiding disaster last week.

Matt Minister’s Pick: Penn State
Why?: Penn State will cover. They have to prove a point after last week’s embarrassing opener.

USC (15) at Stanford (13)
Point Spread: Stanford -3.5

Ryan Rue’s Pick: USC
Why?:  I see USC running all over Stanford. If the Trojans can stop Stanford’s passing game they’ll win the ballgame.

Paul Tesori’s Pick: Stanford
Why?: Two evenly matched teams, so I’m going with the home crowd.

Matt Minister’s Pick: Stanford
Why?: It’ll be Stanford in a close game and the home field will give them the advantage.

Clemson (2) at Texas A&M
Point spread: Clemson -12

Ryan Rue’s Pick: Tigers
Why?: Clemson coaches know everything about Jimbo Fisher. Clemson comes into town and mops the floor with A&M.

Paul Tesori’s Pick: Clemson
Why?: Too much talent for Jimbo to deal with.

Matt Minister’s Pick: Clemson
Why?: Clemson has too much firepower for the Aggies.
