Partnership between Justin Rose, caddie Mark Fulcher ‘finished for now’

An 11-year run that saw Justin Rose win nine times on the PGA Tour and four times on the European Tour with caddie Mark “Fooch” Fulcher is over… for now.
Rose took to social media on Tuesday to make the announcement:
After an amazing 11 years with Fooch, our successful run together has finished for now, as Fooch is required to take an indefinite leave of absence from caddying to focus on his health and well being after the heart procedure earlier this year. He has been medically advised that a further period of recuperation is required. I wish him all the best as he works on getting 100% fit and healthy. I also have no doubts that we will stride up a 72nd hole late on a Sunday afternoon together in the future. #Fooch
Along with being on the bag for all but one of Rose’s 10 career PGA Tour wins, Fulcher also caddied the Englishman to Olympic gold in 2016 and was on the bag for four Ryder Cups with Rose — three resulting in victory. In 2018, Fulcher was with Rose as he won the FedExCup and ascended to No. 1 in the world.
Fulcher was sidelined for the first four months this year after undergoing a heart procedure in January. He returned for the Masters in April, where Rose missed the cut. The pair tied for 29th two weeks ago at Bethpage Black in the PGA Championship.
In Fulcher’s absence, Rose won the 2019 Farmers Insurance Open with caddie Gareth Lord — former looper for Henrik Stenson.
Lord will be back on Rose’s bag beginning this week at the Memorial, where he claimed his first Tour title in 2010.
