A trip to Ireland, great caddie hospitality at the 3M Open and some local looper knowledge
We start this week’s social media caddie round up on the other side of the pond, where caddie John Rathouz made the trip over to the Irish Open at breathtaking Lahinch with his boss, Ireland’s Seamus Power.
#Lahinch for the #IrishOpen ! Never seen anything like it. Everyone off the first tomorrow Open style! Glad my pro knows where he’s going 😬😎🇮🇪 pic.twitter.com/PjYwdXZd2k

It’s been a nice trend lately: Tournament organizers taking good care of the caddies. And it continued at the inaugural 3M Open at TPC Twin Cities.

The caddies enjoyed some ping-pong at TPC Twin Cities, which produced this priceless video, starring caddie Mark Carens (Adam Schenk). Be sure to watch the second video, in particular. You won’t be disappointed:

Thanks to 3M, several caddies had the chance to sneak on over to Target Field to take in a Minnesota Twins game and the treatment — at least if you saw this post by caddie Kurt Kowulak — was pretty sweet:

Damian Lopez had a good time with his caddie buddies at Target Field, too…

Caddie Ben Hulka, meanwhile, made it over to a Zac Brown Band concert, at an event 3M organized…

Kessler Karain, caddie for Patrick Reed, made a short detour over to a very special place for the pair early last week — Hazeltine National Golf Club.
Hazeltine, as you’ll remember, is where the U.S. last won the Ryder Cup in 2016. Reed was the star of the American side that week, taking down Rory McIlroy in Sunday’s singles on his way to a 3-1-1 record in that Ryder Cup. Reed and Karain went over to Hazeltine to relive some of those awesome memories.

We love caddies at the grassroots level, so we were delighted to see this post from the Meridian Hills Country Club Caddie Program:

And this one from New York Times bestselling author Tom Coyne, getting some great local knowledge from his caddie at Fox Chapel:
Watch my caddie Adam at Fox Chapel being a total pro for the camera as I call him Andy. First wondering who I’m talking to, then rolling with it like a pro jock. #imanidiot #sorry #acoursecalledamerica #pittsburghgolf pic.twitter.com/B3XDFeGXt9

Geno Bonnalie — Joel Dahmen’s righthand man — enjoyed a rare week off at home and set the bar high for Fourth of July cookout snacks:

Him: “no problem, babe!” pic.twitter.com/UNbvQjOY4O

Lastly, TCN is hoping to put together the ultimate glossary of caddie slang/caddie lingo. But, we need your help! Here’s the question we threw out to our Twitter followers. Please click on the post below and add your suggestions.
Golf has its own language. We're creating the ultimate glossary and need your help. Golfers & caddies – what phrases and words should we include? #CaddieLingo
