In one of the funnier on-course moments you’ll ever see, Scotland’s Russell Knox produced the baseball equivalent of a shank at the Irish Open on Friday.
Knox was on a green at Ballyliffin Golf Club in Round 2 on Friday. He had just finished snacking on an apple and decided he’d give the biodegradable fruit a toss into Ballyliffin’s tall rough.
At least we think that was the intention.
Instead, Knox held onto the apple too long and it launched behind him, nearly nailing Robert Karlsson’s caddie:

As you can see in the video, Karlsson has no idea what the hell happened and neither does his caddie.

Safe to say Knox won’t be asked to throw out the first pitch at a ball game anytime soon.
