Ever wish you could fire your boss?

PGA Tour caddie Damon Green did just that in the early 2000s, when he broke the news to boss and friend Scott Hoch that he was leaving the man known as “ATM” for – of all things – a rookie.

But things worked out for Green. That rookie happened to be Zach Johnson, who has won 12 times since on the PGA Tour, including two majors — the Masters and the Open Championship.

In the video below, Green recalls the hilarious story about how he tried – unsuccessfully a couple of times – to let Hoch know he was leaving the established pro for an up and comer.
