Hello and welcome to another edition of ‘Caddies of the Week,’ where the there’s lots going on and the playoffs…

…are…

…..

Sorry, was going to finish that sentence but it’s been called due to weather.

It was just one of those weeks on the PGA Tour. But thankfully, there’s never a shortage of fun caddie moments to keep us entertained.

When It Rains It Pours

But before all of that, we have to start with the headline of the week: The weather. The rain just kept coming, forcing miserable delay after miserable delay before forcing the event to Monday. It was a tough slog for both players and caddies during a tiring part of the season. Yet despite it all, a number of caddies who took to social media remained in good spirits.

A New Trend?

Matt Fitzpatrick successfully defended his Omega European Masters title over the weekend, birdieing the 18th to force a playoff and then prevailing for his first win of the season. It was some impressive play down the stretch, but there was one thing in particular that caught Bubba Watson’s caddie Ted Scott’s eye…

That’s right, Fitz’s “caterpillar” technique. Could we be seeing Scott getting down on the greens? Perhaps even during the Ryder Cup? We’ll have to wait and see, but I’m loving the prospects.

Fluff’s Mullet

One of my favorite things about social media seeing a delightful old picture coming across my feed when I least expect it. That was early last week, and my goodness what a beauty it was.

Mike “Fluff” Cowan is obviously a legend on the PGA Tour. He’s the kind of top-level caddie that most players dream of having on the bag, but it’s easy to overlook that he once boasted an elite level mullet-mustache combo. Just look at that thing. What a beauty. It’s hard work to overshadow Tiger Woods, but Fluff did it masterfully here.

Caddie Swag

And finally, how about a little shout-out for Chez Reavie’s caddie, Justin York, who caddied in Ron Jaworski’s Pro-Am group and came out if it with this snap of him wearing an Eagles Super Bowl win. Pretty awesome. If I was the caddie I’d say forget the tip; let me take one of these pics and I’d pay you for the pleasure.
