As a “giant golf dork,” Geno Bonnalie loves being a caddie because it allows him to be inside the ropes with the best golfers in the world each week. He recently shared on Twitter his favorite things about being up close and personal with PGA Tour pros.
I’ve got (what feels like) a 72 hour layover in Denver. Instead of a Q and A, I’m going to list all the stuff I absolutely LOVE getting to see up close and personal as a giant golf dork

Geno was quick to mention the time he was paired with Tiger Woods.
First: Tiger’s presence. When we first got on Tour and he played an event, it was TOTALLY different. I felt that everyone on the range got quiet and just watched greatness. Getting paired with him was a dream come true pic.twitter.com/lA2iDx3I5y

Geno also shared some things that you can’t always see on TV, like being around the short game practice area at tournaments.
Watching @bubbawatson hit pitch shots in practice.
No joke, the guy can literally hook/slice 30 yarders SIGNIFICANTLY. It would be unbelievable unless you saw it in person.

Although Geno caddies at the highest level, he can still be a fanboy at times.
Watching Rory swing a golf club (any club). My golf crush gets stronger every time we play with him.
He’s a great human too

Geno has also been able to witness players make their rise to fame.
The first time we ever played with @XSchauffele. Joel finished 25th on the KFT to Xander’s 26. X got his card through finals, and we were later paired with him in Memphis. After 9 holes, Joel looked at me and said “he’s better than me”.

And, of course, Geno included his player and long-time friend, Joel Dahmen.
My man’s ability to make piles of birdies. I may be partial, but when he gets in a certain mind set, it’s INCREDIBLE to watch pic.twitter.com/2xggeLPZqK
