As expected, it didn’t take long for caddie Damon Green to find a new bag.

Green confirmed to The Caddie Network on Saturday he will be working for Ollie Schniederjans starting next month.

Green was on Zach Johnson’s bag for almost 15 years, winning a pair of majors and 11 PGA Tour titles together before parting ways recently.

“We’re just working on the final details,” Green said Saturday morning from The Father/Son Challenge in Orlando, where he is caddying for Jim Furyk’s father, Mike. “I’m excited.”

Green previously worked for Scott Hoch before joining with Johnson at the start of the 2004 season. Johnson blossomed into a star while working with Green.

The 25-year-old Schniederjans has a runner-up finish, two thirds and eight top-10s in 74 starts on the PGA Tour, earning $3.5 million.

He has won a Web.com Tour event, was a two-time All-American at Georgia Tech and was ranked the world’s top amateur in 2014.

Green is one of the best caddies at reading Bermuda greens and won more than 75 mini-tour events himself before switching careers. He will be a veteran, calm influence on Schniederjans.

The 58-year-old Green is walking the fairways this weekend alongside Mike “Fluff” Cowan, who is 70 and working for regular boss Jim Furyk. That’s a lot of caddying experience.
