If Tuesday night is any indication, this week should be an awesome one for caddie Dale Vallely.
Shoot, no matter what happens, it’s already been a week to remember for Presidents Cup team member Abraham Ancer’s looper.
Out in La Quinta, California, for The American Express, Vallely was part of a group of caddies who took part in a Caddie Par 3 Tournament on Tuesday evening – under the lights – at The Lights at Indio Golf Course, dubbed, “the ONLY night-lighted golf course in the Coachella Valley!”
On the ninth hole, playing 162 yards, Vallely stepped up to the tee with a 7-iron in hand and… delivered an ace!
The Caddie Network was on hand to capture the moment, which – as you’ll see – Vallely himself wasn’t so sure about at first:
But after a cruise up to the green, it became clear that Vallely did in fact find the bottom of the cup with his tee shot:
Here’s a still shot of Vallely’s reaction when he realizes it’s in the hole:
Here’s Vallely talking about the ace:
So, yeah, quite the start to the week for Vallely.
