Last week’s PGA Tour stop was the Genesis Open at Riviera Country Club in Los Angeles, where Mother Nature was a major influence once again.

The start of the week was by all means promising as everyone was treated to flashes of sunshine that served as a reminder on why Riviera is a popular stop on the Tour schedule. Caddie John Rathouz echoed this sentiment on his Twitter account.

As heavy rains soaked the course twice on Thursday, players were forced to wait more than seven hours before restarting their rounds that ultimately overlapped into Friday. Long days turned into very early mornings as players and caddies had wake-up calls as early as 4 a.m. in order to meet their tee times.

Caddie Damian Lopez captured the snail’s pace many of the groups experienced due to the weather in a hilarious post on Instagram.

Of course, all was not lost as caddies found ways to stay entertained throughout the week. While most booked reservations at their favorite restaurants or took time to stroll around downtown Los Angeles, Ted Scott seemed to make friends with one of the area’s, um, locals.

When he wasn’t busy feeding squirrels in his off time, Ted and player/boss Bubba Watson made a new friend during Wednesday’s practice round. Big-time Bubba fan and 12-year old Twitter user @JaggerTroth shared this moment on his feed that he’s sure to never forget.
