As most of the country slowly transforms into a winter wonderland, players and caddies on the pro tours retreat to warmer climates once again. The PGA Tour stop was the ever-popular Sony Open in Hawaii while the Web Tour made a stop at The Bahamas Great Exuma Classic (Sunday-Wednesday).
For players not officially playing in either event, some creativity is required to catch an invite to attend. For example, golfer Zac Blair used some old fashioned cold calling on social in an attempt to help out on the Web Tour:

Meanwhile, Bubba Watson and caddie Ted Scott made the trip to Hawaii for the second PGA event of 2019. Early in the week Scott tweeted a funny anecdote about running into new Tour commissioner Jay Monahan by an elevator. Seems like early reviews of the new boss are highly positive.
So……..the elevator opens and before I walk in, Jay Monahan says “ hi Teddy, how are you? How’s your family?” He’s the best. The PGATOUR is in great hands! 😊

Finally, there’s always a chance that you might have to improvise on-the-fly when faced with a difficult situation at your job. I do it all the time, like when I forget to apply deodorant before rushing out to the office. Soap in the men’s room is a perfect quick fix!
What? No one else does this? Don’t lie.
Anyway, tour caddies are not immune to improvisation when needed, as Geno Bonnalie showed after losing his towel somewhere in Hawaii.
